Xepol® -therapy for patients with post-polio syndrome

A research group at Karolinska Institute (Karolinska hospital) has studied the cause of the post-polio syndrome and the efficacy of Xepol therapy. The results are positive and to date some 250 patients have been treated on a so-called clinical indication where the purpose has been to halt the progression of the disease.

Treatment possibilities
It is important to note that this treatment represents a new treatment modality and still is under clinical development. The treatment is based on a so-called ´clinical indication´ where treatment need is evaluated by a doctor on a case by case basis.
